Bethy arana was born on the 6th of July of 1977.  She is from a small town in Santa Ana, El Salvador,

At a very early age, she was abandoned by her mother and father, and then, her grandmother, Evelia Zúniga, raised her. She attended from 1st grade to 9th grade the ‘Merced” school in a rural area in Santa Ana, El Salvador. In that same place, she went to a private school close to the same area.

Betty Arana has defended women’s rights in El Salvador because men and laws do not protect them.  

She became a lawyer and married Juan Jose Nosiglia Nieto, who was rich. Since she was poor, his family had prejudices, so her husban left her.
